If you want a phone that says “I’m too good to take your call,” Tag Heuer’s new Racer mobile will let you screen your calls in style.
Although Tag Heuer is best known for making luxury watches, the company has turned its attention to the lucrative handset market. Inspired by Formula 1 and GT racing, the Racer smartphone features carbon fiber, titanium and a shockproof rubber chassis. Making it super smart, the Racer also comes with latest Android software, as well as a customizable 3D user interface.
Fashionistas and trend setters can pick up their Racer smartphone in July, when it will be available at better luxury mobile boutiques and jewelry retailers for $3,700. Until then, enjoy the Racer smartphne promo video below.
So many cool watches, so little time. Tag Heuer is celebrating a partnership with Gulf Oil and Formula 1 with the limited edition Formula 1 Gulf Edition Watch.
This has already been a busy year for Tag Heuer – they’ve put out a slew of timepieces including the Tag Heuer Monaco V4 Titanium Chronograph, the Tag Heuer Limited Edition Indy 500 Centennial Chronograph, and the Tag Heuer McLaren MP4-12C Chronograph. The Formula 1 Gulf Edition Watch rounds out the collection nicely, but since the year is only halfway done, we wonder what other watches the company will grace us with before 2011 is over.
Based on the steel 44mm wide Tag Heuer Formula 1 Big Date watch, this limited edition timepiece features a Swiss quartz movement and a time, subsidiary seconds dial. With style to spare, the Formula 1 Gulf Edition Watch is outfitted with a black dial, a light gray cross-hatching pattern, contrasting Gulf racing stripes in orange and blue, and the orange and white Gulf logo. Finishing it off is either a steel or rubber strap.
You can pick up the Tag Heuer Formula 1 Gulf Edition Watch for around $1,000.

It’s just three days away and what better way to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the running of the Indianapolis 500 than by buying a shiny (and expensive) new watch?
To commemorate the big day, Tag Heuer has released a new limited edition ticker, named (you guess it) the Limited Edition Indy 500 Centennial Chronograph.
Design cues include three dials that mimic a race car’s dash, an Indy 500 logo and a face designed to look like the Brickyard’s famous start-finish line.
Just 1,000 of these shiny mementos will be made and at $1,650 we can think of worse ways to spend your money than on a nice watch that will most certainly become a collectors item.
A supercar needs a super watch, and that’s why McLaren has partnered with Swiss luxury watchmaker Tag Heuer to bring us the special edition MP4-12C Chronograph.
Boasting innovative, high-performance and precision manufacturing principles, the TAG Heuer McLaren MP4-12C Chronograph gathers its inspiration from the McLaren MP4-12C, following its lead when it comes to color, materials and design. Its carbon dial is just like the 12C’s carbon fiber MonoCell (an engineering solution that makes the 12C incredibly light) and the watch’s movement can be seen through sapphire inserts on the dial, which reveals the “engine” behind the watch face.
It doesn’t stop there. The MP4-12C Chronograph also features a Flyback function that lets you reset to zero, and immediately restart it by pressing once on the push button. Other extras include a Titanium case that minimizes weight, an Alcantara leather strap, orange super luminescent markers on the hands, and orange stitching on the bracelet.
Only 1000 of these beauties are being made, so be sure to look for them in the later part of 2011.

Happy 55th birthday Porsche! And to help celebrate the momentous occasion, the Porche Club of America has commissioned Tag Heuer to make a very special edition 55-piece watch for the exclusive brand.
The high-end Swiss watchmaker is issuing the Monaco watch with a limited run of just 55 timepieces to mark the anniversary. Tag Heuer and Porshe go back a long way, beginning with Steve McQueen and his role in the movie Le Mans. McQueen drew inspiration from his friend and Porsche race Jo Siffert for the role (interesting trivia note: Siffert was the first driver to be sponsored by a watchmaker, which happened to be Tag Heuer). In the film, McQueen wore Porsche’s Monaco watch and thus began the start of a beautiful friendship between the two brands.
This edition of the Monaco watch comes equipped with a chronograph, as well as a dial that has features red and black rally stripes with the racing number “55” and the PCA’s logo engraved on the back. Finishing off the look is a handsome black leather strap, complete with its own set of racing holes and red stitching.
To ensure this watch stays exclusive, only 55 will be made available. It also comes with an exclusive price tag: $5,500. Membership does have its privileges.
