Hamann Transforms X6 M to Typhoon Evo M

Widebody, big and bold, Hamann has transformed BMW‘s X6 M to a 670-hp and 700 ft-lbs of torque beast, an increase of 115-hp and 74 ft-lbs of torque. Combine that with the drastic styling changes and Hamann’s Typhon Evo M is clearly one of their most ambitious offerings yet.

G-Power Builds 900-HP BMW X6 M

Yeah, yeah deep down inside we are probably in love with BMW‘s X6 M even though we still think it’s a confusing platform. It’s becoming quite a success story in the aftermarket, especially internationally. Recently we showed off G-Power’s awesome M3 Clubsport Models and now they’ve struck up an ambitious project by producing what they call the world’s fastest SUV. Even though BMW’s X6 M is not considered an SUV by BMW (remember, it’s a sport activity vehicle) we all know what it is deep down inside.

Dubbed the Typhoon RS, G-Power’s X6 M throws down 900-hp with a top speed of over 205 mph. To accomplish this, G-Power transplanted in BMW’s M5 V10 motor and overhauled it with what they refer to as “Formula 1 characteristics.” The motor was stroked to 5.5-liters and a pair of ASA T1-316 compressors were added for forced induction (similar to what’s seen in their M5 Hurricane RR world-record vehicle). The motor is reworked with lower compression Mahle pistons, new rods and a forged 7-bearing crank.

With a watercooled intercooler to keep everything cool and an ECU tune, the X6 M drops out 900-hp and 640 ft-lbs of torque. The peak power is at 8000 rpms, showing off just how high-revving this V10 can go.

On the outside is a custom wide body and a set of 23-inch wheels. Upgraded brakes are included in the package with carbon-ceramic rotors and 6-piston calipers. Further weight is dropped with a titanium exhaust system, four carbon individual seats and the xDrive system is completely dumped. They state that the car is about 330 lbs lighter than stock.

G-Power is limiting production to five vehicles and can be ordered as a completely finished vehicle. And the price? Well if you have to ask, then you can’t afford it… we’re guessing.
