iForged’s beautifully built Mercedes-Benz SL 55 is now currently up for sale on eBay with a buy it now price of $89,999. The hefty chunk of cash will get you a Misha Designs widebody, 600-hp supercharged AMG SL 55 with a huge collection of top quality modifications. This is the same piece of machinery that iForged showed off in its SEMA booth and the one that we spotlighted during its build process.
From bumper to bumper, this SL 55 has been outfitted with some of the best quality work anyone can find in the United States. The custom diamond-stitched seats were done by Top Stitch while the BASF Glasurit Liquid Metal Mercedes Designo Alubeam Titanium paint was sprayed on by none other than DTM Autohaus.
Transforming the exterior is the third Misha Designs widebody kit in the world, which really transforms the entire SL 55 to the extreme. The widebody also makes way for the custom 3-piece iForged Legacy V2 wheels on one side while the other side sports a 3-piece Equip V3. Up front are 20×9.5-inch wheels while the rear is a healthy and wide 21×11-inch pair.
There’s plenty more modifications to speak about, including the custom stereo and Brembo brakes, so hit the source if you’re really interested. The car currently has 32,226 miles on the odometer and is a 2004, though it received the 2009 face lift during the widebody conversion.

Vincent Wong is no stranger to building killer rides to showcase his product line: iForged Wheels. There’s just no better way to show off what you can do with your wheel line than to take some of the world’s hottest cars and widen their bodies in order to fit a real fat lip underneath those fenders. After building one of the cleanest Techart GT Porsche’s we’ve ever seen, Wong has decided that this year he’ll team up with Misha Designs and widebody-out a Mercedes-Benz SL55.
The car will debut in the iForged booth at this year’s SEMA Show and it’s looking to be an interesting project. For the most part we’re pretty interested to see how Misha Designs’ kit looks in person and we really feel that Vincent’s color choice on the project will make or break the car. Obviously we already know that a killer set of wheels will outfit it, but we’ll be interested to see how the rest of it combines to work together.
We’ll bring you plenty of photos of the finished product from the SEMA Show with live coverage starting November 2nd. Until then, check out our complete SEMA Preview here.

Yup... we're already talking about SEMA
The 2009 SEMA Show is still over half a year away but contrary to popular belief, not every vehicle is assembled in a mad rush at the last minute. Wheel manufacturer iForged has already released details of what its big SEMA project will be and after last year’s 996 to 997 Porsche Turbo conversion, complete with GT3 RS green paint and TechArt goodies, we would expect nothing less than a serious performer.
Company owner Vincent Wong posted on his personal blog that the 2009 SEMA iForged project is a convertible (or roadster) version of the SL65 AMG Black Series. To be more accurate though, the vehicle will actually be an SL65, but will be converted with all the necessary bodywork to resemble the Black Series. But that’s not all.
IForged will also work with JE and Crower to build up the bottom end of the 6.0-liter V12 engine and Artisan Performance will assist with some larger turbos. The final engine output numbers are expected to be in the 1,000hp range.
Fox Marketing is also getting involved in the project, likely taking care of the body modifications. We just hope they can resist the temptation to paint the SL bright orange.
