Founded in 1909, Maybach produced various lavish automobiles and contributed to the German war effort in World War II by producing the engines for the Panther and Tiger tanks. While they didn’t continue building cars after the war, the brand was revived by Mercedes-Benz with the production of the Maybach 57 and 62.
