2009 Scion Cars
Scion was launched in 2004 as a Toyota’s youth brand, and offered small, stylish cars like the xA and xB hatchbacks. Shortly after, Scion introduced the tC sport coupe, a vehicle that won a wide following among buyers looking for a sporty, stylish and affordable coupe. The xB was revised in 2007, with the xA replaced by the xD, and a redesigned tC was introduced in 2011. A new minicar, dubbed the iQ will go on sale at the end of 2011.
With Toyota failing to reach younger buyers, the company decided to launch their Scion brand in 2004. Their initial offerings were compact hatchbacks with a focus on vehicle customization, and Scion offered a massive range of dealer installed accessories. The tC sports coupe followed that pattern, and also offered performance enhancements through Toyota’s TRD performance division, including an authorized supercharger kit that boosted engine output substantially. Scion has had trouble retaining their young audience, but their vehicles have still managed to find homes among those looking for practical and funky transportation. Scion’s iQ will launch at the end of 2011 and compete with the Smart Fortwo.

2009 Scion xB Review
The second-generation xB has grown considerably from the original, offering a larger package, with lots more storage space and a more powerful engine. Fuel-economy may have suffered in the growth process, but that’s about it, as the boxy Scion continues to be one funky compact.
