2011 Porsche Cars
Porsche’s 911 was the company’s standout offering for years, but the last decade has seen the company offer the smaller Boxster roadster and Cayman coupe, as well as the Cayenne SUV and Panamera luxury sedan. Despite being met with derision from Porsche’s enthusiast base, the two models have gone on to make up a majority of Porsche sales, and have managed to stay true to Porsche’s sporty brand values. Porsche will introduce a smaller crossover, dubbed the Cajun, in 2013.
Porsche offers a staggering 20 variants of the 911 sports car alone, as well as multiple versions of the Boxster, Cayman, Cayenne and Panamera, ensuring that no premium customer is left out in the cold. Often touted as one of the most practical sports car choices, most 911s have a small backseat and space for luggage, and can be optioned with all-wheel drive and dual-clutch transmissions. All Porsches, with the exception of hardcore models like the GT3 and GT2 variants of the 911, are easy to drive in everyday situations, and even models like the Panamera and Cayenne possess staggering levels of performance with levels of luxury on par with most premium brands.
