2012 Bentley Continental Flying Spur Overview
The Flying Spur is essentially, the 4-door Continental. It's powered by the same 6.0L W12 engine as the GTs, connected to the same 6-speed ZF automatic and all-wheel drive. The "Speed" version has the same engine, but in this car, it makes 600 horsepower and 553 lb-feet of torque.
The standard features and options list for all models Continentals are similar. While Bentley offers nearly infinite customization of any model for a price, the official equipment of the Flying Spur includes adjustable air suspension, 19-inch painted alloy wheels, a power sunroof, bi-xenon headlamps and rain-sensing wipers. Bluetooth, rear heated seats, keyless entry and navigation are also standard. Safety is far from forgotten, with the Flying Spur's stability and traction control, anti-lock brakes, front/side and curtain airbags as well as a tire-pressure monitor.
The Flying Spur Speed edition includes a lowered suspension, 20-inch wheels, massaging seats, and alloy pedals as well as the more powerful engine.
As well-equipped as Bentelys are, an impressive list of options still are offered. 12 different wheel options and 8 interior wood veneers. Two different Mulliner Driving Specification packages include combinations of interior and seat trims. The Series 51 package includes interior quilting, contrast stitching and special badges.
A rear-view camera, adaptive cruise control, painted brake calipers, a tilt/slide sunroof, an 1100W NAIM audio system, rear DVD changer are just some of the other options available.
