Great carBy Wallace Allen, Sep 7, 2013I traded in my 2010 Ranger for better gas mileage and decided on a "Race red" Focus. I wanted a 2 door but they aren't made anymore. Anyway, I love this car. Handles great, looks good and the options are great. Gas mileage is fantastic and it's very comfortable; I'm 6'2" tall. ...moreComfort, handling, styling

Terrible carBy Alex Morrison, Sep 14, 2013Traded my '05 Focus ZX4 SE 5-speed in for a new, 2012 Focus SE hatch with the PowerShift automatic. The dealer had no 5 speeds and said I'd get better gas mileage with the automatic. Bottoom line: I punted this car for an import after 5,495 miles. I thought the transmission was fundamentally flawed and worked no better after the recall. Very slow to downshift and very jerky at slow speeds. I almost got hit twice trying to merge into traffic because the transmission was so slow. Also, the air conditioning only worked intermittently. The technician said that was "normal." Finally, the front end made crunching noices over bumps - my 1969 Plymouth with worn bushings sounds better over bumps. Overall, Ford really blew an opportunity with this car. My new car, a 2013 VW GTI has the same dual clutch transmission design but works great - crisp upshifts and downshifts. ...morepaint job

Hot Hatch and regular carBy James M, Mar 8, 2013Perfect car for showing off the performance, looks and power OR just going to class or work. Fit and finish is perfect plus the Ricaro seats hold me just right. The Ford mytouch sync and Touch screen with navigation make traveling fun.I had my car since the end of Oct 2012, no problems. The color is performance blue and its a ST2 model. ...morenot reallymuch of anything...

Ford Focus Sets New StandardBy Richard Weidman, Mar 26, 2013The performance bar for compact hatchbacks has just been raised several notches by Ford. After driving a 2013 Focus hatchback I came away amazed at just how well a compact hatch can handle and drive. It is definitely a world class car that satisfies the demands of both European and American drivers alike. It has the solid feel of a Mercedes, the handling confidence of a Porsche at a price tag that is affordable by all. After driving other hatches from Germany and Japan, the Focus is the class leader. Plus it is available with a manual transmission for people who still enjoy making their own decisions on how a car should be driven. Thank you Ford ...moreHandling and solid feeling
