It works.By Bob, Jun 2, 2015Traded out of a 2 seat sports car because I'm getting too old to sit on the ground. I'm also addicted to manual transmissions, and as a professional, I demanded some level of luxury. This seemed to be the only choice out there without spending over $40k, as all other up-scale trims on other cars appeared to absolutely cancel the manual transmission option. Overall, its quite nice. The leather seating could be less harsh, but I'm guessing it's good forever. The My Ford Touch and Nav are as good as I've seen, the stereo at this level is blasting and clear, and the voice control is substantially better than GM (had to drive a GM cross country recently, and it's voice control simply didn't work). Power to weight, it can be a little bit sporty to drive, but only a little bit. I will admit that it wasn't even on my page until, on a different long drive in my prior sports car, one passed me in the desert going very fast. I matched his speed at 120, and decided I'd never have to want for power. At the $20k paid, I don't believe I could have gotten as much for the money in anything else, but, curiously, I'm a little embarrassed driving a car that cost so little. I.e., it lacks any semblance of cache, while meeting my needs. Everything except the cup holders work comfortably. The rubber thingy in the cup holders grab everything, and they're a little too far back for easy use. ...morePrice and features.

Well RoundedBy Tim, May 14, 2015The under $20000 car market has gotten pretty competitive in recent years, so shopping for the right car took a lot more time than I thought it would. After visiting almost half a dozen dealerships, I took home a 2014 Ford Focus sedan and have been quite happy with it since. It gets decent gas mileage, I'm averaging around 32 mpg right now, and though it doesn't have a lot of power, it is enough to get me going. Interior is pretty standard in the class, nothing stands out in it. I really do wish that Ford would use nicer materials though so it didn't feel so cheap inside. Brakes feel a little soft, but other than that, it's a pretty well rounded car. ...moreWell rounded car, good gas mileage, decent performance
