2014 Mustang GT premium review.By Pete, May 3, 2014I've owned my new 2014 Mustang GT for almost 2 month. In that time, I have grown accustomed to its robust muscle car performance. The car is definitely very fast. Along with that comes not so good fuel economy. I can manage barely 27 mpg on the highway at 70 mph. In purely city driving I squeeze out between 17-18 mpg. My car is equipment with a 6-speed manual transmission. The ride quality is what I expected, sort of firm, but not overly firm. Handling is good, with very little body roll. Brakes are adequate. As I mentioned, I have had the car for almost 2 month, and the car has been returned to the FORD dealership for 2 separate issues. #1 The air-conditioning was not cooling properly. #2 The panel between the rear taillights appeared to be pulling away from the body of the car. Under warranty, the panel was replaced. The problem is the panel has the same issue. I had to buy an after-market panel to correct the poor workmanship that comes built into my $35000 car. Still I love the car! ...moreRocket Ship accelleration. Retro-muscle car styling.
Very poor workmanship when compared to Toyota, Honda, Mazda. Poor fuel mileage, except when one considers the extreme horsepower under the hood.Trim 2014 Ford Mustang 2dr Cpe GT Premium

2014GTBy Paul, Dec 8, 2013The 2014 Mustang GT is one awesome bang for the buck. Looks I give it a 9 out of 10... Interior I give it a 8.5 out of 10... Ride comfort I give it an 8 out of 10... However I did not buy this car for creature comforts... I bought this car for it's class leading power to weight ratio... It's competitors need bigger motors, more horsepower and or All Wheel Drive to go as fast or even keep up with the mighty Mustang. This car jumps out of the hole pretty decent cars with simulure power to weight will be a little ahead but as soon as second gear hits the car really pulls hard a passes most stock vehicles. It's handling is very good concidering it has a solid rear axle. The performance of the GT I give a 10 out of 10. It is a throw you in you seat smile on your face kind of car!!! ...moreLooks, power, performance and price as compared to the competition.
Solid rear axle and cup holder location.Trim 2014 Ford Mustang 2dr Cpe GT

amazing....By Jerry Gutknecht, Jul 19, 2014Scary fast....I have a pretty plain GT with the optional 3.73 gears and 6 sp manual tranny. Its a rocket ship. If you turn the traction control off its like being on ice....drives so mild I can't believe its 420 hp, until you floor it. Interior is comfortable, and surprisingly my 6' 260# sons almost are comfortable in the back seat. The engine is out in the open and looks to be easily worked on. My only complaint is the lever for the tilt steering is on the bottom of the steering column and it sticks out far enough that I bang my knee on it getting out of the car. ...morefast, fast, sexy and fast
