You made me love you; I didn't want to do it!By Stanley Buck, Oct 6, 2014My 2007 Pontiac G5 stood there with the brand new Toyo tires, and I was about to do the same dumb stunt I always do, buy new tires then trade the car. I wanted a new white Civic EX coupe with manual transmission. But this late in the season I couldn't find one. Lots of boring 4dr sedans were still around, but they're too appliance like, and make me feel like an old man when I drive one. I am very old; but no thanks, only the coupe does it for me. The dealer wanted me to drive his black 2014 EX Coupe with CVT, but that's not what I wanted. Finally, he talked me into it and I drove through several streets and then out on the highway. The first thing I noticed after I got beyond the Star Ship Enterprise control panel were the brakes. Absolutely the best brakes I had ever driven with, smooth, powerful, and confidently effective. (Even with the Pontiac's ABS, the Honda made me want to throw rocks at the Pontiac. I like this Civic in many ways. So I got the dealer to deal on my terms and traded the Pontiac for the Civic, a wise choice. The Civic is a solid car, meaning everything was the antithesis of the Pontiac which seem like it was made with a cigar box and bubblegum. I brought the Civic back and had the dealer trade the new Civic''s tires for the new Toyo tires on the Pontiac. The factory tires on the Honda were not to my liking and detracted from the overall good car. The civic steers as straight as a mother-in-law's stare, and goes around corners like it's on rails. The Civic has all the high tech equipment, but the best part about the Civic is it is all meat and potatoes, and those firm aspects are decidedly more important than the gadgets. The Civic is worth more, even if it didn't have all the electronic tech features; it's a better basic car than the competition from the ground up. It looks and feels like a premium car. Believe it! ...moreLooks, handling, quality, and price.
Replace the factory tires which are, noisey, uncomfortable, rough, and do a diservice to the car. Good Toyo tires make everything better.Trim 2014 Honda Civic EX CVT Coupe
