A Neat Little WagonBy Barry Smith, Jul 22, 2013I wanted a replacement for my 2006 Chrysler Town & Country short wheelbase mini-van; something easier on gas and not quite as big. After driving several makes I drove the Compass with the new 6-speed automatic (I had driven the 2013 with the CVT and didn't like the transmission). With the 2.0 engine it was under-powered, but the 2.4 engine was fine. I bought it the same day and now have 6000 miles on it. A neat vehicle- it will tow my boat, run the back roads, haul kids or firewood, get decent gas mileage (22-25 city, 28-32 highway), plenty of pep, and the price was right- under $ 22,000. Simple controls, comfortable cruiser, easy to park, plenty of room,- even in back. As to off-road ability, check the you tube videos of the Trail-Rated models- amazing! ...moreVersatile wagon, decent price, comfortable
