An Owner's PrespectiveBy KalSandor, Apr 27, 2014First of all, I do own this car and I have always been a bit Bias to Subaru. I come from mountains and the fowl weather of Oregon. Subaru is perfect for such conditions. I currently reside in the Smoky Mountains. Curvy roads and tight corners. The 2014 WRX grips the corners like a champ! EXTERIOR: It looks pretty mean. Meaner than the previous years and meaner than the 2015. but that is just the front of the car. from the front doors on back, well, not so mean.. did they just get lazy with the rest of the design? now, i'm discussing the Sedan. The Hatchback pulls it off nicely. I think the lack of trunk helps. The sharp lines and aggressive look gets lost as you look rearward. INTERIOR: Compared to many of today's small cars (many with a lower price), the cabin trim does not stand up so well. I must say the red stitching Rocks! plenty of legroom (in the front, rear just like any compact sedan) larger adults are going to be a little less than thrilled to climb into the back seat. Very comfortable on long road trips. Some of the parts feel, well, cheap. the levers to open the doors feel like they are going to snap at any moment. The Vents feel flimsy as well. The sound system is Terrible! It still feels a little generic compared to other performance cars, especially in it's price range. When it comes to the interior I truly feel like i did not get my money's worth. Nowhere close to luxury-grade. PERFORMANCE: Excellent handling!! Torque is 244 lb.-ft. @ 4,000RPM. 265hp @ 6,000RPM. All-wheel drive Turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine. The WRX's exhaust note is throaty, but muted. Its 265-horsepower output enables quick acceleration in nearly any gear of the five-speed manual transmission. Of course its front-heavy weight distribution and suspension design contribute to the potential for understeer, but if you dab with your right foot--and this is somehow a bit more fun in the WRX--you can neutralize it and slingshot out of a corner with the AWD system scrabbling for more grip than you knew was there. With crisp handling response the WRX handles bumps, potholes, and coarse surfaces with ease. FUEL: 19/25mpg. One does not buy this vehicle for fuel economy. WRX requires premium fuel. ...moreExcellent handling! Quick & Fun!
WRX deserves a six-speed gearbox and better interior.Trim 2014 Subaru Impreza WRX 4dr Man WRX
