2012 Kia Cars
Kia has been in business since the end of World War II but first came to America in 1994. After being purchased by Hyundai in 1998, Kia expanded aggressively and today sells the Rio and Forte compacts, the Optima sedan, the Soul hatchback, the Sorento and Sportage crossovers and the Sedona minivan.
Kia started out selling the Sportage and Sephia sedan in 1994, but today their products are a far cry from the basic, cheap vehicles they began with. Borrowing heavily from parent company Hyundai, Kia’s vehicles are packed with modern technology, but have a distinctive look that is far from the more conservative styles employed by Hyundai. The brand will likely shed its “cheap” image in the near future and gain the respect it deserves from consumers – critics already seem to be on board with the brand’s success story.
