Venturing out from the city center, there are other wonders to admire, including the Gold Coast. It's one of Chicago's most affluent neighborhoods, sitting on prestigious Lake Shore Drive facing Lake Michigan. Another must-see is Frank Lloyd Wright's Robie House in the nearby suburb of Oak Park. It's considered one of the most important buildings in the history of American architecture. And it sits close to Wright's home and studio in a historic district worth touring. And easy to do by car.'

Other attractions easy to enjoy by auto are the renowned outdoor art installations found throughout the city. From the Picasso to the Cloud Gate to the Flame of the Millennium, there are many intriguing works to experience close up. Or as a drive by, if that's how you'd prefer to roll. Also take a drive down the world's longest street: Chicago's Western Avenue.
