Hyundai edged out BMW and Audi in leading German car magazine Autobild’s annual quality survey. Hyundai also beat out Toyota, long considered the benchmark for quality and reliability.

Using owner feedback, recall information and data from Germany’s well known TUV technical inspection agency, the magazine’s yearly report is held in high regard in Europe.

“Hyundai is always proud to receive awards for its products, particularly this one from AutoBild, which places the company ahead of brands many have considered to be at the pinnacle of the industry.” said Hyundai Motor Company Marketing Director Oliver Mann.

Hyundai’s first place ranking comes at a crucial point in time for the Korean automaker, as it prepares an onslaught of new compact cars for Europe and prepares to move upmarket in North America, with the $60,000 Equus sedan leading the charge.

I have a serious complaint about BMW After Sales Serivce and would like to mobilize support towards eventually big firms of the like of BMW pay attention and better response to consumers such as me and you. I am thinking of reporting this to German Media and possibly judicial system and would like to know the name and contacts of a famous and influential German journalist or newspaper columnist to raise this issue with and see if we can apply pressure on BMW to become more customer serivce oriented.
