Talk about being at the right place at the right time. On the A114 highway near Foggia, Italy, a truck carrying 2 million or so Euros (that’s about $2.5 million) overturned and spilled out its contents. And by contents, we mean coins in the form of 1 or 2 Euros – and yes, that’s a whole lot of coins.

The accident, which also involved another car, was caused from a blown out tire. But boy was this one costly. Passing drivers took the liberty to pull over and run amok on the freeway gathering up what they could and fleeing the scene before the authorities arrived. Initial reports state that at least 10,000 Euros are missing (roughly $12,500). We guess it could have been far worse.

Oh and in case anyone is wondering, the driver and passenger of the truck are doing just fine with minor injuries.
