Saab is hoping to entice English Professors loyal fans of the brand and Saab owners to return to the fold by providing them with an unspecified “loyalty bonus” for Saab owners who purchase an all-new 9-5.

Saab didn’t announce terms of the loyalty bonus, but the Swedish assembly plant is already cranking out 250 cars per day in an effort to ship the new vehicles rapidly. 9-5’s are expected to hit North American shores in a matter of weeks. Consumer financing for the new cars has also been secured through Ally Financial, formerly known as GMAC.

Pipe down Jason. I'm just thrilled Saab was saved and no, I'm not a liberal arts professor. To date, my favorite car for the money was my 900 se hatch-back (coupe), five speed. I can't wait for Saab to bring back the coupes with serious horsepower.

I have a Saab 900 S 1991 - LOVE IT, LOVE IT!!! The BEST little car on the highways! It still goes like a bomb in the fast lane. They weren't kidding when they said "SAAB...find your OWN road!" Comfortable seats, great speed, classic lines and so much fun to drive!!! It has been a pleasure and privilege to own and care for this car over the years... I strongly suggest a return to the eye appeal Saab body complete with the perky spoiler and skocum lines!!! The more recent Saabs are far too generic and have lost the Saab soul! I would encourage the designers to re-instate the excellence of European design!!!
