Abarth 500C Essesse and Punto Evo Essesse Revealed Ahead of Paris Auto Show Debut
With the Fiat 500 on the horizon for a North American release, Fiat’s tuning house, Abarth, has released an additional pair of models to showcase what is possible with the hot hatch. The 500C Essesse and Punto Evo Essesse will both be on display at the Paris Auto Show on September 30th, 2010.
While the actual upgrades aren’t detailed in the press release, the 500C Essesse will put out 160-hp with 170 ft-lbs of torque. The modifications also include the Record Monza dual-model exhaust and Abarth’s Blue&Me in car electronics package. We’re digging the two-tone finish on the exterior of the 500C, sporting Campovolo grey and Pista grey, contrasted with white chromatic trim pieces.
The Punto Evo Essesse throws down 180-hp and 199 ft-lbs of torque, making it the more powerful of the two. It’s also finished in Campovolo grey but in a single tone. The Punto Evo Essesse’s exterior styling also looks much more aggressive than the 500C. This makes sense given that the Punto Evo has more power and is probably geared towards more hardcore enthusiasts.
AutoGuide will be on hand at the Paris Auto Show and will be sure to check out Abarth’s newest offerings.

Carlo Abarth loved to call himself a “creator of cars that are tuned, not prepared”. It was not by chance that his first commercial success came with a tuning kit for the Fiat Topolino launched at the beginning of the 1950s. Since then, the Abarth brand philosophy has remained the same: to convert special items into extraordinary products.
