Widebody, big and bold, Hamann has transformed BMW‘s X6 M to a 670-hp and 700 ft-lbs of torque beast, an increase of 115-hp and 74 ft-lbs of torque. Combine that with the drastic styling changes and Hamann’s Typhon Evo M is clearly one of their most ambitious offerings yet.

And that says a lot, with Hamann’s huge collection of tuning packages available for various BMW models. The entire body is widened around 2.36-inches that works well with the entirely new front bumper, side skirts and rear diffuser kit. Enlarged air inlets along with a carbon fiber hood also offers performance enhancements while the aerodynamics are further tuned with the aid of rear and roof spoilers.

The additional power comes from the titanium exhaust system featuring high-flow cat replacements. Toss in an ECU retune and the X6 M’s power reaches new heights with minimal impact on daily reliability.

For wheels, Hamann has a collection of various models available; for their demo X6 M they chose a 23-inch set of Unique Forged Anodized wheels, staggered with a 11-inch setup in the front and 12-inch setup in the rear. The X6 M was also lowered 1.57-inches to complete the look.

Finishing off the entire package is a brake upgrade from Hamann featuring 6-piston calipers in the front and 4-piston calipers in the rear. Interior upgrades begins with nanai salmon leather and is accented with aluminum pedals and foot rest. The factory steering wheel is swapped out for a sportier variant and lastly a trunk floor mat is available with stitched logos.

Official press release available after the break.

PRESS RELEASE

HAMANN-Motorsport, the renowned specialist for exquisite BMW refinements, debuted its latest developments for the BMW X6 M at the 81st International Motor Show in Geneva. The masculine show piece on the 200 square metre HAMANN stand is the TYCOON EVO M based on the BMW X6 M with 670 hp / 493 kW and a top speed of 300 km/h.

The TYCOON EVO M – powerful appearance with stunning design

Looking at the TYCOON EVO M and its broad built shape whets one´s appetite. Especially the front mudguards and the rear extensions made of light component material contribute to this feeling. The car body is widened by an amazing 60 millimetres. Additionally, the HAMANN designers replace the sides with newly designed side skirts. An unmistakable hallmark of the front is the apron with four striking LED daylight running lights. The car body kit does not only enhance the look of the car, its enlarged air inlets the front and the carbon bonnet also provide an optimized air supply to the engine compartment. At the back of the X6 M, HAMANN replaces the original apron with a new own development which provides spaces for the earthy sounds produced by the sports exhaust system with centre double end pipes. Also new within the refining programme are rear lights with LED technology. The back of the TYCOON EVO M is perfected with shapely rear- and roof spoilers. All those components render a low-swirl air flow over the car silhouette and provide additional downforce.

Extensive performance plus thanks to optimised exhaust gas stream

In addition to the spectacular appearance of the TYCOON EVO M, the HAMANN engine department developed a powerful performance enhancement for the serial engine. The most important part for the power increase is the titanium high-performance exhaust system with catalyst replacement pipes which also renders a dynamic and earthy sound. A newly programmed engine map perfects the upgrade and owing to the removal of the 250km/h speed limit, the driver now has an unlimited driving experience.

Resulting from the modifications, the X6 M now has 670 hp / 493 kW at 6,000 r.p.m. and 950 Newton metres torque at 1,500 – 5,650 r.p.m. These are additional 115 hp and 100 Newton metres compared to the serial version. Therefore, the 4WD automobile accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in only 4.2 seconds and reaches a top speed of 300 km/h.

Varying rim designs and sizes

Especially designed for the increased requirements of the TYCOON EVO M, the automobile refiner presents varying wheel designs and sizes. The style- and technology highlight is the most modern rim model UNIQUE FORGED ANODIZED. The dynamic shape of the delicate, anodized cross spokes does not only render a dynamic and striking look, but also an even share of weight and therefore ensures higher bearing loads. HAMANN offers the 23 inch wheel in 11.0 x 23 at the front axle and 12.0 x 23 at the rear axle with tyres sized 315/25 R 23.

The HAMANN lowering kit further enhances the light alloy rims. Progressively coiled springs at the front axle and a refining kit for the rear axle lower the SAV´s centre of gravity by approximately 40 millimetres.

MOV´IT provides optimal deceleration

Especially for HAMANN, MOV´IT developed a CERAMIC high performance braking system which stands out by its orange coloured brake callipers. Now, 6 piston calipers in connection with brake discs sized 420 x 40 millimetres at the front axle and 4 piston calipers with brake discs measuring 380 x 32 millimetres at the rear axle render optimal deceleration and a perfect control of the gas pedal.

Exotic interior applications made of nanai salmon leather

In addition to the serial interior, HAMANN offers applications made of exotic nanai salmon leather. This natural products which is exclusively used by HAMANN, combines the characteristic structure of salmon skin with the qualities of conventional interior leathers. The HAMANN upholstery department refine the floor space with noble chequer-shaped embroideries on the leather. Pedals and foot rests made of aluminium render motor sports flair and perfectly match with the illuminated door protection sills. A three-spoke sports steering wheel adds further dynamics to the overall impression of the TYCOON EVO M interior. For the X6 boot, HAMANN offers a tasteful and practical boot mat with chequer-shaped embroideries and a stitched logo.
