There are so many amazing auto-inspired watches being launched, it’s hard to keep up. But here’s another we just had to share with you – Chopard’s Classic Racing Superfast Chrono Split Second timepiece.

Another model added to the Swiss watchmaker’s long history of paying tribute to the world of historic cars, the Classic Racing Superfast Chrono Split Second timepiece does them justice. Fastened on the wrist by a strap that sports the famous 1960s Dunlop Racing tire tread (made from natural rubber and comes fitted with a folding clasp), this watch features a split-second chronograph movement that measures “split” times. Its self-winding movement is chronometer-certified by the COSC and on the back, you’ll find the inscription “Superfast Split Second.”

Taking you back to a time of vintage automobile, the dial’s markers on the flange will remind you of the numbers found on rev counters and speedometers. Other features of note include a tiny racing steering-wheel in DLC blackened steel on the crown, the grooves on lugs’ sides, the cooling vents and the Allen screws on the bezel.

There’s only going to be 1,000 copies of the Classic Racing Superfast Chrono Split Second watch being made, so pick yours up soon.
