A new Hyundai Genesis Coupe will debut at the Detroit Auto Show next year, packing even more horsepower.

The new Genesis was caught testing in the Arctic Circle with its usual assortment of recycled Miata tops and Boy Scout tents, covering a new exterior facelift. The Genesis Coupe’s V6 and inline-four engines will both get more power as well: as on the 2012 Genesis sedan, the V6 gets direct injection and a higher compression ratio, which on the Genesis sedan is good for 333 horsepower. On the smaller, sportier Genesis Coupe? Much more fun.

As for the turbocharged 4-cylinder, it’s rumored to get a power bump up to 274-hp.

And the Genesis will still get 30-mpg highway. Booyah, Hyundai. Expect to see the new Genesis-es (that plural can’t be right) at Detroit next January.
