jaguar c x16 concept teased ahead of frankfurt auto show debut

Jaguar has just released the above teaser sketch of what it calls the C-X16 production concept. The name itself speaks volumes, and while this concept is intended to give a look at the future of Jaguar design, it’s likely to be a near production model.

What isn’t clear, is how close this vehicle is to the rumored small Jaguar sports car, or if it’s a look at the next XK – a vehicle that desperately needs to be replaced.

Designed by Ian Callum, he refers to the car as, “a precursor to future Jaguar sports cars that will aim to set new class benchmarks in design, vehicle dynamics and technology.”

We’ll find out more when the car is revealed at the Frankfurt Motor Show on September 13th.
