Brahms Plug-In Hybrid Hearse: A Car To Die For
If you’re a die-hard environmentalist, then you’re going to love the Brahms Plug-in Hybrid Hearse. You can rest in peace knowing that even in death you did your part to help save the planet.
Brahms Electric Vehicles, a UK engineering firm, is looking for buyers for its new line of electric plug-in hybrid hearses. Traditional hearses are bulky and aren’t very good when it comes to fuel economy, but since the drive from the ceremony to the graveyard is a short one, an electric version of this large vehicle makes sense.
Built from a Mercedes-Benz station wagon, the Brahms Plug-in Hybrid Hearse is only a proof-of-concept vehicle. It does showcase the plug-in hybrid drivetrain developed by Brahms, and doesn’t come with many of the features usually associated with a traditional hearse. As of right now, Brahms is in the process of meeting with various hearse coach-builders to find a suitable partner to produce the electrified hearses.
It looks like we might be seeing these hybrid hearses on the road in a few years time. If so, would you rather make your last drive in an eco-friendly hearse or go with something more traditional? Let us know what you think in the comments section below.
