Confirmed details on BMW’s latest luxury sedan is a turbo-charged inline-six combined with a 40kW electric motor. During slow speeds, the BMW is capable of pure electric propulsion. Along with a trick eight-speed automatic transmission, BMW expects the entire system to boost fuel economy by another 10% when compared to the base 535i.
