Mercedes-Benz is adding all-wheel-drive to their C-class and E-class coupes according to a report by Car and Driver.
Until now, both coupes were available exclusively in rear-wheel drive. The 4Matic versions will only be available with one engine option: Mercedes’ 3.5-liter V6 making 302 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque.
Despite the 4-matic option, Mercedes will continue to offer rear-wheel drive versions as well as the rear-wheel drive exclusive C63 AMG coupe, E550 coupe and C250 coupe.
Car and Driver speculates that this could signal a C 350 4-matic sedan in addition to the C300 where it is standard equipment.
