It appears that General Motors has a mystery concept car set to debut at the upcoming 2012 Detroit Auto Show that is just a few days away.

After initial speculation and rumors, Chevrolet spokesman Mike Albano has confirmed that it will be a Chevy, but only added to the speculation that it could be a Chevelle concept.

Regardless of whether or not it’ll be a Chevelle, the upcoming Chevy concept should be a retro-styled compact. But hey, at least now we have proof that Chevy is preparing for a debut of a new concept and we’ll be on hand to see what it is once the show floor opens up to the media.
