A state police report revealed Massachusetts Lieutenant Governor Timothy Murray was involved in a high speed car accident that sent his state-issued Ford Crown Victoria careening into a ledge and flipping over after it had struck a rock ledge at 108 mph, according to crash data found in the black box of Murray’s vehicle.

The shocking report becomes sensational when it also revealed that Lieutenant Governor Murray apparently fell asleep behind the wheel, did not wear a seatbelt, and survived the accident with barely a scratch. A field sobriety test conducted on Murray indicated a zero blood-alcohol reading. Thankfully, no other vehicle was involved.

Ultimately, Murray was issued a $555 citation for speeding, marked lanes violation, and a seat belt violation. Having cheated death and not have his license revoked, $555 sounds like an extremely good deal to us.
