Fahrradi Farfalla FFX Looks Like a Ferrari, Is Actually a Bicycle – Video

6

We’ve seen plenty of crazy creations in our time, but this one may have just soared its way to the top of the list. The Fahrradi Farfalla FFX may look like an exotic Ferrari, but it’s actually a bicycle.

That’s right, instead of packing 700 hp or so under the hood, the Fahrradi Farfalla FFX packs 1 human power to get you around town in style, albeit slowly. The name comes from a clever spin off the German word for bicycle, which is Fahrrad, and is no doubt paying homage to the vehicle it imitates.

Constructed from light tubes and adhesive connections, the body houses an aluminum frame which allows the cyclist to pedal through traffic.

“Johannes Langeder [Fahraddi Farfalla FFX designer] always sends his vehicles into real traffic, but instead of the expected sonorous motor noise, they move silently and with the weightless elegance of a butterfly,” the press release said, acknowledging that the idea is a little silly.

We’re not sure if the Fahrradi Farfalla FFX is going to be replicated for consumer consumption, but we wouldn’t be surprised if at least a few people would buy something as whacky as this.
