If you are involved in any facet of the racing world, odds are you have heard about the Nissan Delta Wing by now.

It’s an experimental Le Mans racer that is looking to change the way that high performance cars are developed, and the first track test of car shows promise for the future. The biggest question surrounding the car was “can it turn?” as the long and slender nose looks as though it would offer no handling capability. Even the designers and engineers of the car were unsure of its true potential, even after nine long months of development.

The latest video from Nissan shows us the first test drive of the Delta Wing, and outlines the process which the team went through to get the car ready for the track.

Up until now, the Delta Wing has been considered a success, but the real test will come when it competes in an experimental class at the 24 hours of Le Mans, the race that it was designed for.
