2013 Hyundai Elantra Coupe Pricing Announced: $17,445
The 2013 Hyundai Elantra Coupe is getting a price hike over the 2012 Elantra sedan, along with a longer list of standard features, coming to market with a base MSRP of $17,445 before a $775 destination charge.
Taking direct aim at the Honda Civic Coupe, the Elantra Coupe is about $2,000 more expensive than the base 2012 Civic, but it offers more horsepower, interior room and fuel economy according to the company. The Civic is the primary competitor mentioned by Hyundai, making the aim of the car very clear.
Two trim levels are available with the Hyundai Elantra Coupe. The base GS model starts at $17,445 for the manual and jumps up to $18,445 for the automatic. The top trim, known as SE, starts at $19,745 for the six-speed manual and $20,745 for the six-speed automatic. The car is powered by a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine making 148 hp, estimated to get 40 mpg on the highway when standard transmission is equipped.
The GS trim’s standard features include six airbags, 16-inch alloy wheels, air conditioning, six-speaker audio system with SiruisXM capability, bluetooth hands-free phone system, heated front seats and front fog lights among others. When you step it up the the SE trim the list of features includes 17-inch alloy wheels, sport-tuned suspension, leather interior, side mirror with integrated turn signals and a unique grille and rear spoiler.
A technology package is available for an added $2,300 that adds a navigation system with a seven-inch screen, 360-watt premium audio with digital external amplifier, rearview camera and proximity key entry with push button start.
