Evidently, a car Bill Gates owned is worth a lot more then the same car without the billionaire butt-impression in the driver’s seat.

Last month we brought you a story about the Microsoft titan’s 1979 Porsche 911 Turbo heading to auction with an expected value between $48,495 and $62,173. While Gates owning a car doesn’t score it any points in our books, that isn’t true for everyone.

The car hit the block in Vienna and went to a German bidder who won it over the phone, paying about $20,000 more than was originally expected. Of course, cars owned by famous people don’t always sell for more. If that were true, then Barack Obama’s Chrysler 300C would have had an easier time finding a new owner.
