Many of Kia‘s latest models feature a rear-view camera system, to help with reversing. This feature is relatively new to some international markets, so the brand launched a special racing event to introduce the tech to the public.

In order to show off the benefits and advantages of the rear-view system, Kia held a racing event, where all the cars were forced to go backwards. In order to make this event more interesting, racers weren’t allowed to look in their rear window, and had to rely solely on the vehicle’s rear-view camera.

The race was recorded and thrown on YouTube, so that we can all watch these Kia Optimas and Kia Fortes race in reverse below.

What’s your experience with Kia’s rear-view camera system? Discuss at our Kia Forte, Kia Soul and Kia Optima Forums.
