Originally created in 1969, The Italian Job featured MINI Coopers in tight spaces racing through the streets of Italy. For those that are younger, the movie was redone in 2003 with the same premise, and now we have a short clip titled The Britalian Job that pays homage to the original classic.

To celebrate the upcoming Olympics and its partnership with Team GB and Paralympics GB, MINI enlisted the assistance of Phil Churchward, lead director of BBC’s Top Gear to direct a short clip featuring MINI Coopers in tight space, stunt driving action through some of London’s most famous landmarks.

Of course the clip revolves around stolen goods, in this case gold medals, and stars former Olympic champions Daley Thompson, James Cracknell, Jonathan Edwards and Matthew Pinsent. MINI used its special edition London 2012 models for the clip which is packed with humor and action, and of course some impressive driving.
