Much is already planned for McLaren at this year’s Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, but rumblings of a surprise to be unveiled on the concept lawn mean there could be even more to the company’s plans than originally expected.

With the official public debut of the MP4-12C Spider (above) scheduled and an appearance by McLaren 12C CAN-AM Edition racing concept, it will take a lot to top the announced events, but reports suggest there will be another car appearing that hasn’t been seen yet.

The most recent rumors suggest that the surprise concept will be a one-off MP4-12C made for a special client and an MP4-12C Spider built by the McLaren Special Operations group.

But those aren’t the only rumors swirling. Previously, there had been talk of the brand’s P12 supercar making a private appearance held head of the scheduled debut next month in Paris.

Thankfully, the Concours starts today which means there won’t be long to wait until concrete answers come afloat.
