Ford’s new Aston-Martin inspired design started with the new Ford Fusion, and now it has migrated to the 2014 Fiesta which was just unveiled at the 2012 Paris Motor Show.

Along with the styling updates, Ford has added new engines to the product line, with a total of six powerplants now available in Europe. Here in America, we will get the 1.0-liter EcoBoost, which makes either 100 hp or 125 hp depending on the setup, mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. Stop/Start functionality will be available from the time the car is launched, helping to boost its fuel economy even more.

Along with the regular Fiesta, we will also be getting a Fiesta ST variant that will get its power from a 1.6-litre EcoBoost engine that makes 182 hp, combined with improved suspension and torque vectoring to make this subcompact into a hot hatch.

Other standard features include SYNC hands-free controls, a driver assistance package, MyKey system and LED headlights.

While the updated Fiesta will go on sale in Europe in 2013, it won’t make it to America until the 2014 model year.
