Ford‘s supercar of the future was unveiled yesterday in Australia with Ford Performance Racing being the first team to show off its new Falcon V8.

Unveiled at Winton Raceway in Victoria, the 2013 Ford Falcon V8 supercar will be driven by Mark Winterbottom and Will Davison and the team will begin to put it through its testing paces as it prepares for the 2013 race season. Winterbottom will be in charge of driving the car during its shakedown for Ford Performance Racing, gathering data on the car’s systems and supplying valuable feedback to the rest of the team.

The V8 supercar was unveiled sporting Ford’s EcoBoost motorsport livery and looks poised to be a serious competitor for years to come.
