Former Lamborghini Designer Heads to Bentley
Luc Donckerwolke is heading to Crewe, England, where he’ll become the new design team head at Bentley.
Donckerwolke is most well-known for his recent designs on the Lamborghini Gallardo and Murcielago models, in addition to the original Audi A2 mini.
“Luc Donckerwolke brings a wealth of design talent to Bentley. His extensive experience makes him the ideal person to take forward Bentley’s future design language, at a time when the company has significant plans for new models,” said Walter de Silva, head of design for Volkswagen Group.
He will replace Dirk van Braeckel, who is joining a central design team to oversee the entire Volkswagen Group. The designer will be leaving his position as head of advanced design for Volkswagen and brings along an impressive resume to help bring the British automaker into new market segments. His career began at Peugeot in 1990, when two years later he joined German automaker Audi. He has also helped design several Skoda and Seat models.
