Hyundai Veloster Alpine Concept is Snow-Prepped: 2012 SEMA Show
Among the many performance minded concepts Hyundai brought to SEMA this year, the Veloster Alpine concept is a more practically-minded option meant for snow sports.
Created in partnership with ARK Performance, the car wears features a special blue and white paint job, roof rack for carrying skis and snowboards and mud flaps along with a big spoiler.
But as much as the car’s exterior was modified, its key changes come into play with the interior and under the hood. ARK tuned the car to make 232 hp and 240 lb-ft of torque thanks to a Nitrous Express Proton Kit, an ARK Veloster Turbo exhaust system among other modifications including bigger brakes and a coilover suspension.
Knowing how a car’s interior tends to take a beating in the snowy season, the car’s designers also loaded the interior with Alcantara, leather and WeatherTek breathable fabric chosen for their durability against moisture. The doors and parts of the interior also get black, blue and white plaid leather inserts to further compliment the car’s color scheme.
