SUVs and crossovers were the clear favorite this week with four of the five top spots going to the taller people carriers.
Far and away the largest in the pack, the 2013 Dodge Durango was the most popular. With its adult-friendly third-row seat and available V8 power with the R/T model, this is one of the few remaining large utility vehicles.
Right behind it, Mercedes’ small GLK-Class was also a popularly searched vehicle. For 2013 Mercedes added the GLK 250 BlueTec to its U.S. market offerings in an effort to offer a more fuel-friendly luxury crossover experience.
Just behind the Merc, Land Rover’s popular Range Rover Evoque was also a popularly researched car this week. Loaded with awards and accolades, the entry-level Range Rover crossover is still making a splash in the market.
Those not interested in paying the luxury premium looked toward the 2013 Nissan Rogue this week in search of a more budget minded crossover.
Finally, the 2013 Mazda6 with its all-new styling and fuel-efficient SkyActiv engine rounded off the list in last place.
