2013 Nissan GT-R Nismo GT3 Released – Video
Nissan’s tuning and racing outfit Nismo has just rolled out the latest version of its FIA GT3 spec race car, the 2013 Nissan GT-R Nismo GT3.
Under the hood of the GT-R race car is the same twin-turbo V6 found in the road-going GT-R, except this one puts out about 550 hp and about 470 lb-ft of torque. The biggest change under the hood for 2013 is significantly tweaked camshaft timing as well as added reinforcement to moving parts to ensure durability. A six speed sequential manual gearbox is standard on the car which sends all of the power to the rear wheels.

Aerodynamics got some help this year as well in the form of canards that were added to the front corners along with front fender louvers that have been enlarged. The massive rear wing was moved slightly to optimize the amount of downforce.
The GT-R GT3 is not road legal, and is only manufactured on demand. American pricing was not included, but in Europe the car will sell for £ 270,000, which translates to roughly $429,000.
