At long last, the all-new Aston Martin Vanquish has concluded its “Americas’ preview tour” at the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show after traveling through several destinations in the U.S. and Canada.

Called a “new breed of grand tourer” by the British automaker, the new Vanquish is powered by a 6.0-liter V8 engine with 565 hp, 45 hp more than outgoing DBS. In addition, the Vanquish benefits from the One-77 with a carbon fiber body offering a significant weight savings to the sporty coupe.

The new flagship model for Aston Martin has 457 lb-ft of torque to back up its ponies, helping make the 60-mph sprint in 4.1 seconds from a standstill. Its top speed is rated at 183 mph and will have a luxurious price tag of $279,995 once it hits dealerships in the first quarter of 2013.
