Audi is currently working on its third-generation TT model which set to make its debut in 2014.

According to sources close to the project, Audi will be mixing design elements from the original TT model with the current iteration in hopes to recapture some of the impact from the first-generation TT. The future TT will be based on Volkswagen‘s versatile MQB platform and will have a similar overall size to the current TT but with a wider track. The automaker is also aiming to shed some weight by using more aluminum in to build the car.

With the coupe model debuting in 2014, it’s expected that the roadster will come a year later.

This is honestly a really good idea on Audi's part. You can't beat the classics and I think that people will love the idea of Audi going back to their roots.
