BMW I3 Spy Photos Show Production Headlights

Expected in dealer showrooms next year, BMW’s first entry to the EV market dropped much of its fake paneling and camouflage in the latest spy photos.
For the first time, photos of the car show its production headlights and taillights. The photos also show the car without heavy body panelling to show the car’s production shape. Unsurprisingly, it isn’t a lot like the concept car first shown in Frankfurt last year.

The overall shape is much the same, and many of the same lines are intact, but the concept car’s heavily stylized sides and headlights are gone. Assuming the production car stays true to the concept in terms of specifications, it will have 170 hp and 184 lb-ft of torque and will reach 60 mph in about eight seconds. It should also be able to recharge from flat to 80 percent full in about an hour.
