Chevrolet SS Production Model Teased in NASCAR Video Debut

Last week, Chevrolet and Hendrick Motorsports unveiled its 2013 SS NASCAR race car, hinting at what to expect when the production model debuts.

But in a video that Hendrick Motorsports put out in celebration of the new race car’s debut, the production model of the SS sedan gota subtle teaser showing off the headlights and tail lights on the model consumers will get to drive home.

Screen caps of the video reveal the NASCAR livery being peeled away to quickly reveal the factory headlights and tail lights, and is the first glimpse of a car that has been highly anticipated by enthusiasts.

The SS sedan is based on the Australian Holden Commodore and will be the first rear-wheel drive sedan to hit the American automaker’s dealerships in over 17 years. It is expected to make its official debut early next year.
