Audi S3 Convertible Caught Testing in Spy Photos
Last week, our spy photographers snapped some pics of the Audi A3 sedan out testing, and today they managed to grab some photos of the new S3 Convertible.
The current Audi S3 convertible is based on the A3 hatchback, unlike the new drop-top version of the S3 which is based on the new small Audi sedan. Power will be delivered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four cylinder engine that cranks out 300 hp and 280 lb-ft of torque.

The new A3 and S3 have moved to the VW’s MQB platform helping to cut 132-lb of weight from the regular A3. Along with the weight savings, a new efficiency mode that optimizes the automatic air conditioning system will help save fuel.
The new A3 hatchback will not be coming to North America, but the A3 and S3 sedan are on their way sometime soon. Judging by these production-ready looking testers, the A3 sedan, S3 and S3 convertible could debut at either Geneva or Frankfurt.
