Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 Roadsters Take on Airport Runway
Miami International Airport played host to five brand-new Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 Roadsters as they sped down the runway at speeds of 210 mph.
Miami-Dade County officials teamed up with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to host the first-ever, high-speed demonstration on the airport’s runway where the 700-hp exotics had their way with the road. The event kicked off a 10-day media launch and dealer education program and even featured a 50-car parade down Collins Avenue in South Beach.
Powered by a 6.5-liter, V12 engine with 700 hp, the Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 Roadster has a top speed of 217 mph and accelerates to 60 mph in less than three seconds.
“It has been a great pleasure to work with the Miami-Dade Aviation Department and South Beach teams on today’s amazing demonstrations. I have never seen something similar at a Lamborghini event,” said Stephan Winkelmann, CEO of Automobili Lamborghini. “The Aventador Roadster is our most exciting production car ever and I can think of no better place to celebrate its launch than here in Miami.”
