Nissan Juke NISMO to Get Hotter Variant
It might seem silly after learning the output specifications on the Juke NISMO, but there’s a finer-tuned version on the way.
Nissan debuted its NISMO-tuned Juke small crossover last September during the 2012 Paris Motor Show with a handful of extra horsepower and loads of special trim. Already meant to be a sporty vehicle, the Juke moves up to 197 hp from the 188 its 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder normally makes. The latest version, according to AutoCar, will move up another 20 hp to about 217 hp while also bumping the torque rating up to 220 lb-ft.
The improved crossover will also get a revised suspension to sit 20 mm (.79 inches) lower than the normal Juke NISMO. Nissan says the two will differ in much the same way as the MINI Countryman Cooper S and JCW cars do.
