Lamborghini Front-Engine V12 GT Concept Rumored for Geneva Motor Show

Lamborghini is already promising that the fastest car in its history will debut at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, and now rumor has it that the machine will be a front-engine, V12 GT concept.

Designed to compete with the Ferrari F12, the new concept car would fit “something truly extraordinary that’s based on the V12” that Stephan Winkelmann promised Lamborghini would bring to Geneva this year.

According to Winkelmann, the concept will be a coupe sporting a pair of seats, but its underpinnings would not be based on the Aventador. That leaves speculation that this V12 GT Concept will likely be a front-mid engine exotic with plenty of carbon fiber and Lamborghini’s four-wheel drive. It’s worth noting that it will just be a concept and not a model confirmed for production.

The CEO also mentioned that the automaker’s main priority right now is to get the Urus SUV approved for production by the Volkswagen Group.
