Pictures of the Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG hit the web today, showing off the German brand’s new hot hatch.

Based on the A-Class platform, the A45 AMG will get its power from a turbocharged four-cylinder that is expected to make around 350 hp. Power will be routed through a dual-clutch seven-speed transmission to an all-wheel drive system.

Other modifications coming to the small AMG are a lower stance, stiffer suspension, a wider track, larger wheels and tires plus upgraded brakes. Of course, the A45 will also get a tuned exhaust to give it that famous AMG growl.

This will be the most powerful four-cylinder engine from Mercedes, and it will also power the upcoming CLA45 AMG.

The A45 AMG will make its debut at the upcoming 2013 Geneva Motor Show, while the CLA45 AMG will take its bow at the 2013 New York Auto Show.
